Accepting these terms

By using Selfia, you accept these terms and the privacy policy. If you do not accept them, do not use the app.

The terms of the store where you downloaded Selfia also apply. On the App Store, Apple's standard licence agreement supplements these terms.

Selfia is not care

Selfia is a tool for well-being and personal reflection. It is not a medical device. The app makes no diagnosis, prescribes nothing and does not replace a doctor, a psychologist or any other health professional.

Horoscopes and astrology content are offered for enjoyment and reflection. They predict nothing. Do not use them to make an important decision.

AI summaries and questions can be wrong. Take them as ideas, not as advice.

If you are going through a very hard time, do not stay alone with it. Call your local emergency number, or find a helpline near you at findahelpline.com. In France: 3114 (suicide prevention, free, day and night), 112 or 15 in an emergency.

Your data, on your phone

Selfia works without an account. Your data is saved on your phone. If you lose it, reset it or uninstall the app, your data may be lost. We cannot recover it. Remember to export your journal from time to time.

The details are in the privacy policy.

Selfia Pro and subscription

What Selfia Pro includes is described in the app, before you buy.

Free version, ads and AI

Acceptable use

You agree:

In case of abuse, we may limit or cut access to online features.

Intellectual property

The app, its texts, affirmations, rituals, sounds, illustrations and design belong to the publisher or its partners. You may use them in the app and share them with the sharing tools provided, for personal use.

What you write in your journal belongs to you. We have no access to it.

Sacred texts

The verses quoted come from older translations that are in the public domain. They are reproduced without changes, with their reference.

Phrases marked "Inspired by" are written by us. They are inspired by a verse, but they are neither quotations nor revealed words.

Selfia does not speak on behalf of any religion. These texts are offered with respect, without comparison or proselytising. Spotted a mistake? Report it.

Liability

We do our best to make Selfia work well and keep its content accurate. We cannot guarantee an app free of errors or interruptions.

We are not responsible for:

Nothing in these terms limits the rights the law gives you as a consumer, or our liability for gross or intentional misconduct, or for personal injury.

Changes and ending

We may change these terms, for example when the app evolves or the law changes. The date at the bottom shows the latest version. If there is an important change, we will let you know in the app or on the store listing.

You can stop using Selfia at any time: cancel your subscription from your store, erase your data, then uninstall the app.

Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by French law. If you live in another country of the European Union, you keep the protection of the mandatory rules of your country.

If we disagree, write to us first at belouar.mathis91@gmail.com: we will look for an amicable solution. You can also use a consumer mediator, free of charge: liste des médiateurs agréés / list of approved mediators : economie.gouv.fr/mediation-conso.

Failing an agreement, the dispute will be brought before the competent courts, under the ordinary rules.
